Elizabeth discovered her love for art at a very early age. Over time, she discovered a passion for meticulous drawing and focus on detail. This artistic style led her to enter the Scientific Illustration program at the University of Georgia. In 2008, she received a BFA in scientific illustration from UGA. Elizabeth will graduate from the Medical College of Georgia in May with a Master’s degree in Medical Illustration.

In her free time, Elizabeth likes to explore other areas of art. She began doing portraiture for family and started receiving commissions soon after. She enjoys using traditional media including watercolor, colored pencil, oil, graphite, and charcoal. After beginning the Medical Illustration graduate program, she began experimenting with mixing traditional and digital media.

As an outdoor enthusiast, Elizabeth has embarked on a month long camping expedition, 110 mile bike ride down the California coast, summit expedition of Mt. Rainier, and month long backpacking trip across Europe.

Elizabeth hopes to continue to learn new techniques and computer programs to enhance her artistic ability. Upon graduation, Elizabeth plans to pursue a career in the field of Medical Illustration.
